An international fishing license in Somali territorial waters has been granted to the Turkish vessel

An international fishing license in Somali territorial waters has been granted to the Turkish vessel “Ergun Reis A” by the Somali Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy. 

Somalia is now becoming fully sovereign at sea for the first time. From now on, under its control over maritime jurisdiction areas, no vessel will be allowed to operate in Somali territorial waters without flying the Somali flag.
